The ISMA CommCenter

The Comm Center is a part of the Incidnt Command Post(ICP). It will serve as the Tier 1 VHF radio link between the Palm Beach County Emergency Opeations Center(EOC) Amateur Radio Emergency Communications(EmComm) Nets and the Indian Spring CERT.

The Comm Center will also serve as the Tier 2 GMRS/FRS Directed Net between and among the Indian Spring CERT and the 24 community CERTs.

Primary Comm Center
The Primary Comm Center is physically located in the Incident Command Post (ICP) in the ISMA Office. It is envisioned that the Primary ICP will be used during the hurricane or emergency incidents when weather permits and for drills and exercises.
The Primary Comm Center is equipped with UHF and GMRS radios, computers, an outdoor antenna, generators, a landline and cell phones.

Alternate Comm Center
The Alternate Comm Center is physically located in the Westgate CERT Incident Command Post at 11225 Westland Circle. It is envisioned that the Alternate ICP will be used during the hurricane or emergency incident when weather or family obligations prevail. The Alternet Comm Center is well equipped with UHF, VHF, GMRS and FRS radios, computers, antennas, generators, landline and cell phones.

The chief radio operator has an FCC Amateur Tech license and a GMRS license.

Incident Commander of the Westgate Incident Command Post.
